Therapy can be a space for a corrective emotional experience in the therapeutic relationship. Therapy can also explore essential values and create a safe and nurturing environment for experiencing emotional healing within the therapeutic relationship. Understanding our internal working model of the world can give us insight into how our family dynamics and past experiences shape our perspectives. My approach is rooted in trauma-informed practices, focusing on attachment and interpersonal theories. I offer support in dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, and relational challenges, with a particular emphasis on serving the LGBTQIA+ communities. Additionally, I conduct psychological assessments for BHRS, bariatric, diagnostic clarification, and gender-affirming treatments. My pronouns are he/him.
With a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Carlow University, I have honed my skills and knowledge in mental health and substance use treatment. My career has focused on serving in various roles, such as therapist, program supervisor, clinical director, and executive director in community agencies. I have also contributed to a national program integrating primary care and behavioral health care in the federal government. This extensive experience has equipped me to provide invaluable consultations to agencies and offer training, licensure supervision, and accreditation assistance. I organize wellness retreats to help individuals cultivate relaxation and mindfulness practices.
I obtained the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) through PSYPACT. This authorization allows me to provide telehealth therapy in multiple states participating in PSYPACT, ensuring that I can reach and support clients across a wide geographical area.
